Here are some tips for the writing style:

• Write information that isn't dated

  Try not to include any information which includes dates ( like conferences, reports, etc ). This information will "date" the web page and make it look bad if the site isn't updated in a timely manner.

  If you need to use a date, go head and do so. But be sure and write yourself a note to check the page after the conference is over, or whatever.
